Kathryn L. Kepes, M.D.
Dr. Kathryn L. Kepes is board certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, and Radiation Oncology. She received her Medical Degree from St. Louis University, St. Louis, Missouri and completed her residency program in Internal Medicine at Kansas University, Kansas City, Kansas. Dr. Kepes completed a fellowship in Medical Oncology at the Vermont Regional Cancer Center, University of Vermont in Burlington and a fellowship in Radiation Oncology at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia where she was Chief Resident. Dr. Kepes received her Masters in Business Administration, Health Administration from the University of Miami School of Business in 2001 with highest honors and was accepted into the Beta Gamma Sigma Honorary Business Society. Although Dr. Kepes currently limits her practice to Radiation Oncology, her unique background enables her to clinically assess and recommend treatment of most oncological problems.

Dr. Kepes' memberships in professional associations include Association of Freestanding Radiation Oncology Centers (President 2000-2002), American Society of Therapeutic Radiation Oncology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, Association of Community Cancer Centers, American Medical Association, and Florida Medical Association.

Dr. Kepes was the past Medical Advisor on the Board of Directors of the local American Cancer Society. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at the University of South Florida. Her activities also include involvement on the Executive Council of the Hillsborough County Medical Association and support of such groups as Fortaleza y Esperanza (Cancer Support Group for the Hispanic Community), Team Survivor Tampa Bay (Pink Dragon Ladies), and Sisters Network (National African American Breast Cancer Survivorship Organization).

Dr. Kepes offers lectures on the screening and treatment of cancer to the public as well as to community physicians. She is also actively involved in community events that frequently involve her patients, including the Reach to Recovery Program that is designed to raise funds for research and programs for the American Cancer Society. She was awarded the Suncoast Girl Scout Council Woman of Distinction Award and the American Cancer Society's Excalibur Award in 1997 - 2001. She has been quoted in The Tampa Tribune, St. Petersburg Times and the Wall Street Journal as well as local community newspapers.
