Virginia R. Goytia, MD
Virginia R. Goytia, MD completed her internship in radiation oncology and internal medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center and is board eligible in Radiation Oncology. Dr. Goytia earned her medical degree at Harvard Medical School with high honors.

She began her medical career as a registered nurse at the University of Texas Pan American. After working sixteen years in a variety of medical settings she graduated magna cum laude from Texas A & M International with a degree in Psychology.

Dr. Goytia has a broad range of experience in the care of patients with advanced stages of gynecological and head and neck cancers. She has conducted research on breast cancer and lung cancer.

Dr. Goytia’s professional memberships include the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology and the American Association for Women Radiologists. Dr. Goytia is very active in community programs such as providing medical care for the homeless and has mentored pre-med and third world visiting students. She also volunteers and lectures with the Support Group Fe, better known as Fortaleza y Esperanza, the Cancer Support Group for the Hispanic Community.

Dr. Goytia is fluent in Spanish.
