Nagy Elsayyad, MD
Nagy Elsayyad, MD earned his medical degree from Cairo University in 1983 graduating with honors. He received his clinical training in radiation oncology at the University of Miami, the University of Iowa and Cairo University. In addition to his training in radiation oncology, he also trained in internal medicine at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon. He has practiced both in radiation oncology and internal medicine. Before joining the Center for Radiation Oncology, Dr. Elsayyad held a staff position at the Boston VA Medical Center providing radiation oncology services for veterans from the entire New England region. Dr. Elsayyad is board certified in Internal Medicine and board eligible in Radiation Oncology.

Dr. Elsayyad’s experience spans a multitude of clinical areas in both internal medicine and radiation oncology with a special interest in gastrointestinal, genitourinary and chest malignancies. His background includes clinical and bench research experience as well as several years of patient care.

Dr. Elsayyad’s professional memberships include the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, the American Brachytherapy Society and the American College of Physicians. He served as Chairman for a citywide education committee and was recognized by the University of Iowa for his contributions to the community’s medical education and teaching. Dr. Elsayyad also worked with the Pharmaceutics and Therapeutics Committees as Chairman.

Dr. Elsayyad speaks French and is currently studying Spanish.
