The Plant City Cancer Treatment Center, which opened in March of 1996, is a free-standing center owned and operated by local area physicians. Although the center was built on the campus of South Florida Baptist Hospital, it is included in the network of services offered by the Center for Radiation Oncology. The equipment includes a Varian 600C. Patients requiring IMRT, higher photon energies (15 MV) or electron treatments are treated at the Center for Radiation Oncology in Brandon.

Courtesy transportation to and from radiation therapy is available for patients who are unable to provide their own transportation.

Directions:

From I-4 east of Plant City (coming from Lakeland):
  • Take Exit 21 off I-4 (Alexander Street)
  • Turn left & proceed south on Alexander Street for approximately 1.2 miles
  • Turn right into South Florida Baptist Hospital's parking lot
  • pcctc is just to the right of the hospital (parking is reserved for you in front of the center)
From I-4 west of Plant City (coming from Tampa):
  • Take Exit 21 off I-4 (Alexander St & Buchman Hwy (SR 39)
  • Proceed south on Alexander Street for approximately 1.2 miles
  • Turn right into South Florida Baptist Hospital's parking lot
  • pcctc is just to the right of the hospital (parking is reserved for you in front of the center)
From U.S. Hwy 60:
  • Turn north onto S.R. 39 (James L. Redman Pkwy)
  • Turn left onto Alexander Street (just past Checkers & 7-11 Convenience Store)
  • Just past Reynolds Street turn left into South Florida Baptist Hospital's parking lot
  • pcctc is just to the right of the hospital (parking is reserved for you in front of the center)
